From the very beginning, The Beach Club felt like the only place that made sense for Katie and Scott. It is where they live, where they got engaged, and where so much of their everyday life has unfolded. Choosing a location that already held meaning allowed the day to just be so grounded and personal.
There’s something about that added layer of familiarity that made the moments so rich!
The morning started calmly, with soft light pouring into the getting ready space and a quiet sense of anticipation in the air. I love this part of the day, as a Twin Cities wedding photographer. Katie and her girls wore custom getting ready shirts while they got their hair and makeup done! It’s a small but thoughtful detail that made everyone feel included & extra special.
There was laughter, gentle nerves, and that moment Katie later described as ‘finally exhaling’ once I arrived. That sense of ease carried through the entire day.
The whole style of the day felt timeless and intentional. Soft whites linens and neutral florals set a classic tone, paired with tailored black attire that kept everything elevated but approachable. The bouquets were full and romantic, adding texture without overpowering the clean, elegant aesthetic of the venue. Every detail felt carefully chosen without feeling overdone.
Minnesota couples, take notes: the Beach Club was the perfect venue for this elevated, classic look.
One of the smartest choices Katie and Scott made was scheduling the majority of their portraits before the ceremony. With The Beach Club as their backdrop, this allowed them to fully enjoy cocktail hour, greeting guests and soaking in the celebration after the ceremony, without feeling rushed. The venue’s architecture and surrounding spaces provided a seamless flow from portraits to ceremony to reception. I highly recommend this spot, if you value a day that flows easily.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and warm, set against the refined interior of the space. As Katie walked down the elegant stairs and down the aisle, the room felt full of connection and quiet joy. Every glance, every smile, every small moment felt intentional and present. I loved being able to capture it all from both ground level and the second story. It created a really beautiful visual in their final gallery.
As the evening unfolded, the celebration shifted into a relaxed, joyful reception.
From the first dance to the laughter-filled toasts and cake cutting, the room buzzed with genuine energy. Guests filled the space, glasses clinked, and the dance floor stayed lively well into the night. You know a couple is well-loved when the dancing never stops!
Katie and Scott’s wedding at The Beach Club was a beautiful reminder that when a location already feels like home, everything else falls naturally into place. Make sure you scroll through their whole day to see all the beautiful details that came together!
